Jake started a fencing camp this week. He had been taking gymnastics for about 2 years. Elise has been doing gymnastics for over 3 years. Lately we have been trying to think of something for Jake to do that would be a little cheaper. Elise is in the level 4 class, and each level she's gone up has cost us more. Right now her class is really expensive.
So...I signed Jake up for this fencing camp. Fencing is a little cheaper, and I think it is really cool. Jake does not like starting new things. I was worried because right before the class today he did not want to go. It took a lot of convincing to get him there. But we did make it there, and he seemed to enjoy it. As an observer, I though it looked really cool. I plan on taking a bunch of pictures. Jake looked so cool in the fencing equipment. When I get some pics I'll try to get them posted. If he makes it through this week at camp, I think I'll sign him up for regular classes. Trackbacks

I took a couple, but Elise and Claire weren't behaving very well, so I didn't get to take very many.
Did you have to buy all the fencing equipment? Will you have to if you sign him up for regular classes? What about sports like soccer and t-ball and stuff? Is he not into that? Hilton can't wait until he gets to do soccer. He sees Caroline and wants to get in there so badly! I would like Caroline to do gymnastics, but between that and violin, it was too much. We'll see about next year.
There is a rental fee for the equipment. I asked Jake if he wanted to do soccer, but he doesn't. When Elise started gymnastics, we didn't plan on putting Jake in too. He just saw Elise and wanted to do it too. The fencing thing mainly came about because I thought it sounded cool. And it was cheaper than gymnastics.
I had a dream last night that I was taking fencing with Jake. Isn't that weird???
