Lack of Self-control

I have been doing pretty bad the past week and a half. I've been eating too much junk, and not exercising enough. My walking goal has been ignored, and I barely squeezed out my 3 days of aerobics this week. I thought my upcoming vacation would be a great motivator. That didn't work. I feel like I'm in a funk. I saw a recent picture of myself, that was quite depressing. How does one acquire self-control? I am not very good at it. I always daydream.....If only I was rich and could afford a personal trainer, or a personal chef. Not even posting about it on my blog has helped.

Maybe if I knew heaven was full of fried food, cheese, and chocolate. That may help. Then it would be worth the torture of eating/preparing healthy food.

I think you are exactly right!!! If we knew that we had that to look forward to, then maybe we could get through this life without it.

In that picture of Ben and Elise, I swear she looks like Kim! And I told my mom and she agreed. The thing is, she looks just like her when she (Kim) was little.

Most people think Elise looks like Ben's mom. I actaully think Claire looks more like Kim (face wise, not hair wise.) You can go to our family picture website for more pics.

Cyndi, I cannot believe how cute your kids are! Well, yes I can, you guys are a cute couple, but they are just so adorable! I still insist that Elise looks just like Kim. Even when she was little! (Ilooked at all the pics on the site.) They are just about the cutest kids ever! You Barley's sure make beautiful children! Nikki's kids are gorgeous too! I wish we could see you guys. I miss the family... But I am glad we have these blogs now to keep in touch!

Thanks for the compliment. We think they are cute too! I think it's awesome that we can keep track of families via blogs. Otherwise, I would have to wait for little bits of information/updates trickling down from my mom. Someone should plan a Shuck reunion.

Shuck reunion...I would be on board for that...we are old enough now to bypass our old farty parents and plan one ourselves, aren't we???

We are definitely old enough. That would be so cool! The trick would be getting everyone together. You all should come out west! Since most of us are already here... I know my dad has been trying to convince G-ma and Bob to come out sometime for a visit! Someone could stay with us!
