I have never been a big makeup wearer. Usually I 'll put on a little cover up, powder, blush, sometimes lipstick. About every six months I'll get in the mood to try mascara. (For those who don't know; I have blonde eye lashes and blonde eyebrows.) Today was one of those days.
Elise came across me first and said, "You really shouldn"t wear that much eye makeup." Jake said,"You look scary!",and "You look uglier than you did before." (Yikes! What did I look like before?) Claire said," You look just like Aunt Nicole!". To which Elise responded; "Aunt Nicole looks better with makeup on." Now I remember why I don't wear eye makeup. Everyone gets weirded out by it. I guess I waited too long in life to start wearing makeup.. Everybody is use to me without visible eyelashes and brows. Oh, well. It saves me a few minutes of prep time in the morning. Trackbacks

Don't you just love/hate the honesty of children. I've been told many times that guys think girls look way better without make-up but I don't believe that for a second (well maybe for some girls who have perfect skin tone, that must be you.)
I honestly don't think I look much different with or without makeup. But I bow to convention and wear it six days a week. I am always ticked off if I'm forced to wear makeup on Saturdays. Your kids crack me up. Although I would cry if mine said that to me. Crying is a great guilt trip.
I hope Jake doesn't think I'm ugly or scary with makeup on, how depressing. When I was babysitting your kids I think it was when you guys went to Brett and Angela's wedding I didn't wear any makeup and your kids said I looked exactly like you. How funny. The other day Dallin told me I had a really big hiney. That was just what I needed to get my exercising done.
Jake doesn't think you look ugly, He just hates change. It just freaked him out to see me out of the norm. I have had my kids mention my hiney before too. Kids don't really get that kind of stuff. I've had a little girl ask me why my boobs were bigger than her mom's. They'll learn what not to say eventually. Luckily, kids have their cuteness and innocence going for them.
I don't wear make-up either. It really started in basic training when I couldn't wear make-up. After basic I wore it occasionally, and mascara always, but it slowly got less and less often. Now, it is extremely rare for me to wear any make-up. I like it much better that way.
