Halloween

I love Halloween. I think I like Halloween more now then when I was a kid. I love dressing my kids up. For the past few years I've tried to be creative. I've made several costumes. This year I have no idea what to do. The kids keep changing their minds about what they want to be. I have a feeling their costumes won't be my best work this year. I don't feel any creative juices flowing. I am just not in the Halloween spirit. It doesn't help that our house won't sell. My neighbor has had two people come look at her house, and neither came to ours. Argh...I think I may just resurrect some old costumes,

Here are some pictures of the costumes I made from past Halloweens.

Elise and Jake 2002

Elise as Sally (Nightmare Before Xmas)2003

Elise as Raven (My mom and sister helped with the cloak) (Teen Titans) 2004

Jake as Robin (Teen Titans) 2004 (not handmade)

Claire in Elise's Lady Bug Costume 2005

Jake as Oogie Boogie (Nighmare Before Xmas) 2005

Elise as Lock (Nightmare Before Xmas) 2005

That's so different from me - I always hated Halloween and coming up with costumes was more than I could stand. Your kids look so darling in their costumes. I'm sure you'll get in the mood soon. The house selling thing sounds so depressing. UGH!

I hate Halloween too. I always buy candy and no one comes so I eat it. Your kid's costumes are great. You are so talented. I did make costumes one year. They were spacemen. I made tunics out of shiny black faric to put over their coats and sweats and the arms were dryer vent tubes sprayed silver. I had a small TV antenna to put on someone's head. Anyway, Jordan won first prize at preschool and got his picture in the paper so I guess it was worth it.
