One of my favorite biographies is Alexander Hamilton by Rob Chernow. I have really enjoyed the founding father biographies, but this one is my favorite so far. It was a pretty easy read for a biography. Like many of the other founding fathers, his accomplishments are astounding. What I like about this book is, at times, it almost reads like a soap opera. There was parental misconduct, adultery, bribes, and adventure. Who doesn't love a good duel ? This was a book in where I actually had to hold back tears at the end. I need to read this one again.

Yeah, this was a great book. I was able to contain my emotions at the end, though.
I loved this biography. I didn't cry either. I guess I was a little out of patience with Hamilton by that time. He got himself into so many messes. In fact, all of those founding fathers had some incredible foibles. Adams was vain and self-righteous, Jefferson overspent, Franklin had his thing for the ladies and Hamilton had this over- blown sense of his importance. Not that he wasn't very important, it just didn't help that he was so aware of it. I guess it's good to know that these people were not gods, but very intelligent, driven, far-sighted and all too human. Since Ben has no soul, you must have married him for his good looks.

well, duh! Well, I am a Lex Luthor fan(the one from Smallville). It must be the baldness.
