The Prestige

So, I finally saw The Prestige. I did like it, but I liked The Illusionist better. If I hadn't already bought The Prestige, I wouldn't have bought it. I think I was expecting more. I thought they did some neat/strange stuff, but I didn't really feel too attached to the characters. I tend to like movies that delve more deeply into the characters.

I like the Illusionist better too but I did buy both. My friends and I have the ever-going debate about whether Christian Bale's characters are brothers or clones. What do you think and please explain why you think that way?

I wasn't sure after I watched the movie, but I was leaning more towards him being a twin. The wikipedia entry clarifies the story more. In the book the movie was made from, it says he is a twin. After reading about the book, I want to read it. The book sounds better than the movie.

I'll bet it would be a great book. I liked the movie very much, but it was weird to have 2 bad guys and no good guys. Liked Illusionists, too. Neither has an edge on the other in my preference.

Yes! I knew it. I knew they were brothers.
