Lately, I have been hearing from friends and family about how they wake up at 5 or 6 in the morning to exercise. I thought,"Sounds like a good idea, but there is no way I could will myself out of bed that early." Several times I have set my alarm early. Each time I hit the snooze or reset it. That is until today. I woke up at 5:20. I exercised from 5:30-6:30. Took a shower and got dressed by 7:15. 7:15 is when I usually get up. It felt awesome to have all of that done before the kids were even awake.
I always thought I would be exhausted if I woke up that early. But so far, today I've had a lot of energy. I did a lot of laundry, the dishes, and more. All this before 1 p.m. I don't know if this is a result of getting up early and exercising, but I'm willing to try it for a few days to see how it goes. Trackbacks

Good for you. I enjoy hearing success stories. I know what you mean about mornings. I thought it would get easier as I got older, but it's gotten harder.
I tried the getting up at 5:00 to go to the gym. It did feel good to have it all done and out of the way but my late night person couldn't handle it for too long and I ended up snoozing again and then gave up. Hope you keep it up.
I get up at 5:30 to 6:00 to get ready for work. There's not way I'm getting up any earlier. And I need to exercise so badly. Keep it up. I always feel better when I do anything that requires movement.
